However, Vincent, Roxxy, JC and Kate grow to be close friends as Kate manages to get Roxxy a job at a bar she works at as a bartender. This was a good movie right from the start. Instead of grasping on to the story and themes at hand such as toxic masculinity or uncontrollable rage, Shultz gives a bare bones effort with a script that it is so poorly written, it felt like a first draft.

I was optimestic when I started this movie, I couldn't continue watching, I started forwarding till I assured its an awful movie. This gritty and provocative film, written and directed by Gary Michael Schultz, combines themes and style from Kurosawa, Jarmusch, and De Palma.

Vincent N Roxxy is a crime thriller from writer-director Gary Shultz and stars Emile Hirsch and Zoe Kravitz in the titular roles with the supporting cast made up of Emory Cohen and (briefly) Kid Cudi. Bon Appetit Vincent (Emile Hirsch) rescues Roxxy (Zoë Kravitz) from being attacked. This was a movie about violence and revenge and nothing else. But personally, I feel that Emory Cohen steals every scene he's in, flaunting a dynamic bravado as Vincent's brother JC. But he now feels compelled to protect this beautiful, dangerous stranger, so he squirrels her away in a trailer at his family’s dilapidated farm, which he hasn’t visited much in the years since his mother’s death.

Vincent, a small town loner contemplates delivering a black duffle bag full of money to a gang leader. Kate's ex-boyfriend, Darryl begins to stir up trouble after he makes several advances towards her. Vincent N Roxxy is one of those nihilistic slow burn violent crime dramas that is tailor made for Ryan Gosling. Go figure. Vincent N Roxxy is an interesting reboot of 'Boy meets girl', this time around taking place in the hinterlands of Louisiana.
