Cursor’s Fury deserved a 5-star imo, but I kept it at 4.5 because it wasn't my favorite of the series.

Jim currently resides mostly inside his own head, but his head can generally be found in his home town of Independence, Missouri. Solid five starts. After that ending I NEED to start book 4 now!!! Lead by example. At this point I'm in gaped mouthed awe at how angry these books make me, and I just have to know if they continue to be so bad. It is for people affected by heart and circulatory diseases. It's just hard when the focal character isn't. This is fantasy in the way that only Jim Butcher can do.

[Nevertheless, I´m not really sure how I feel about the reveal that Isana, who is supposed to be Tavi´s aunt but raised him like a mother IS actually his mother. This book is my least favorite in the "Codex Alera" series so far and, to be fair, it´s probably mostly my own fault. He tells them that Shuar is the last remaining Canim realm. I'm totally looking forward to see Tavi's growth and development, and his embrace of the destiny that lies ahead of him. TAVI is still a new procedure. I love these characters and story line. Later he collapses and falls into a coma due to the strain of fury crafting too much and the added stress and pressure of facing his political enemies at Wintersend. Good question. However, events conspire against the First LorCursor's Fury is the third novel in the Codex Alera sequence by Jim Butcher. It focused more on the legionary aspect of the story, which brought along with it an excellent mix of battle scenes, intrigue, and character development. The First Lord of Alera does not get any younger (I am stating obvious, am I not?)

Once you figure out the naming scheme for the Codex Alera bI have yet to actually like any of the books in the Codex Alera.

This didn't appeal to me in some ways as much as the first or second because Butcher is getting a little too predictable, still it had its moments.
