I hope that for everyone looking forward to this it meets expectations, but I thought it was awful, it starts bad with the terrible CGI dancing skeletons and never raises much there after, the wrap around story is bad and the most of the tales were poor, the Emmett Till tale was interesting and quite a tonal change from the rest of the movie, but at 110 minutes it's was a long tough watch. This is spirited bigotry at its finest. I find the ending stupid because the man, who was married to a white woman, had to sacrifice himself to save his child and so Emmett could perish. The first movie was more thought out, poor quality & you can tell there was a huge budget cut. It plays us cheap. They even say in the movie "That wasn't your best story." This revival of 1995's 'Tales From The Hood' was both foolishly conceived and trite with Democratic slogans. The girls reveal themselves to be vampires then chase and bite their attackers. This film was a complete joke couldn't even get past the 2nd story especially after the first. Now, more than twenty years later, the long-awaited sequel Tales from the Hood 2 is finally here, ... none other than Emmett Till, a real life victim of skin based hatred.

What kept me going (aside form our deadline) was the inescapable gravity of the film's themes — and Keith David.
